Ryanair blames thunderstorms for delays
Ryanair blamed bad weather for a sharp drop in its punctuality last month when 13% of its flights were late.
It said its on-time performance was adversely affected by thunder storms, adding this was a common occurrence in some parts of Europe.
Throughout July, only 87% of the airline’s flights were on time, compared with 92% in the same month last year.
Nevertheless, the airline’s spokesman Robin Kiely insisted Ryanair was ‘continuing to improve our customer experience’, citing recent changes including allowing passengers to carry a second bag onboard and the launch of a new app.
