Ryanair chief to step down
Ryanair’s deputy CEO and chief commercial officer is to step down next year but will remain with the airline as a non executive director.
Michael Cawley will leave the full time role in 10 months’ time to pursue other business interests.
He has been responsible for the airline’s commercial strategy, its successful "low fares – high load factor" operations and its new route and airport relationships.
Ryanair’s chief executive Michael O’Leary said: "I am grateful to Michael for his enormous contribution to the successful growth and development of Ryanair over the past 17 years."
