Ryanair cuts online booking clicks from 17 to five
Ryanair has simplified its booking process as part of a series of enhancements to its revamped website.
The number of clicks needed to book has been slashed from 17 to five and there is now an intuitive booking flow, which helps identify the cheapest fares.
From the end of next month, a ‘My Ryanair’ service will be introduced, which allows customers to securely store their details so they can save time when making repeat bookings.
Next year, more enhancements will be introduced, including the ability to download boarding passes to smart phones from the end of February; a ‘share the fare’ option to allow users to share low fares on social networks and a ‘fare finder’ feature, due to be launched in April.
A mobile app will be available on all smart phones and tablets from May, while the airline will released tailored language websites in all its major EU markets during the year.
The revamped website also allows for the changes Ryanair announced on Tuesday – the removal of Recaptcha for individual bookings and a 24-hour grace period to allow customers to fix minor errors in bookings.
Chief executive Michael O’Leary said customers could still make suggestions on how Ryanair could further improve its service by using the Tel MOL feature on the Ryanair.com website.
