Ryanair hails court conviction of disruptive passenger
Low cost airline Ryanair applauded a Malta court verdict in convicting an unruly passenger.
The passenger was disruptive on a Cologne to Malta flight a year ago by smoking onboard and refusing to follow crew instructions.
The passenger pleaded guilty in court and was fined €2,000.
Ryanair says it maintains a strict zero tolerance policy over passenger misconduct and has been one of most likely to take legal action against unruly passenger behaviour.
“It is unacceptable that passengers, many travelling with young families, are forced to suffer unnecessary disruption because of one unruly passenger’s behaviour.”
“Ryanair supports the Malta court decision. This underscores our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for both crew and passengers,” an airline spokesperson said.
“Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct, and we will continue to take action.”
