Ryanair to launch flexible fares

Thursday, 16 Jan, 2014 0

Ryanair is to unveil a new product targeted specifically at business travellers with flexible tickets, reserved seating and fast-track through selected airports.

The airline, which is clearly seeking to attract more, higher spending corporate travellers, has also announced a new Groups & Corporate Travel service headed by former sales and marketing head Lesley Kane.

The move follows the budget airline’s recent move to introduce reserved seating and chief executive Michael O’Leary’s new charm offensive.

Customers can already access a new groups section on the airline’s website, and a new business product will be added shortly, it said.

The airline said it was targeting groups including schools, sports clubs and all other large party organisers.

Kane said: "I look forward to rolling out Ryanair’s new groups and business product offering in early 2014.

" Ryanair is continually improving our customer service and has received numerous requests from group organisers and corporate businesses to develop and launch these new exciting products.

" From early 2014, groups and business customers will be able to enjoy the added benefits of our tailored products, which will support Ryanair’s passenger growth to over 110 million passengers by 2019."
