SAA adds capacity to Harare
South African Airways has increased capacity on the Johannesburg to Harare route.
SAA’s head of Australasia, Thevan Krishna, said with the problems of inadequate airlift to and from Zimbabwe (and to assist Air Zimbabwe, which is not currently operating), “SAA has recognised the country’s potential as one of the most visited countries in Southern Africaâ€.
SAA is adding an A330 on the route with immediate effect.
“Our 250-seat aircraft has much more capacity than the 737s now servicing Harare and will help meet growing levels of demand from travellers and the travel industry,” Krishna said.
SAA recently expanded capacity to Zambia, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.
SAA has daily non-stop flights from Sydney and six flights a week from Perth to Johannesburg.
