Sabre buys software supplier

Sabre has bought software supplier EB2 in a bid to soup up its Sabresonic suite.
The GDS provider says the acquisition of the London-based supplier of e-commerce products and the integration of the company’s technology into its own will mean airlines using Sabresonic will have access to the only booking engine on the internet that has such advanced shopping and pricing capabilities based.
This enables airlines to realise more cost savings, generate new revenue streams and boost customer service.
Sabre Airline Solutions will fully integrate all of EB2’s products and services with the rest of theSabreSonicSuite supporting automated refunds and exchanges in addition to other complex shopping and pricing requests.
This integration will utilise EB2’sspecialty of developing flexible solutions that tackle the complexities of online travel booking and simplifying direct sales to the corporate, agency and end traveller segments.
EB2 will become part of Sabre Airline Solutions and the technology provider’s plans to grow its airline portfolio.
