Sabre debuts TruTrip at GBTA

Sunday, 02 Aug, 2013 0

Ahead of the annual Global Business Travel Association conference in San Diego next week, Sabre is rolling out a new product for corporate travel management programs.

TruTrip is designed to let travel buyers easily capture bookings made across multiple sources, so they can create a single itinerary from travel bookings made through multiple sources and sync it with their corporate travel systems.

Travel management companies (TMCs) and travel managers will have more complete data about their clients’ travel, so they can better manage spending and provide better service to business travelers on the road.

TruTrip aggregates travel and itinerary data from multiple sources and links it with mobile, online and offline tools, so the traveler, corporation and TMC all have the same information.

"There has been a great deal of noise in the industry around open travel. Rather than exposing my program to additional costs and challenges, TruTrip will help me augment the strategic managed travel program I already have in place," said Cindy Heston, travel manager for WellPoint.

"This is exciting, and I am already looking to see how I can incorporate TruTrip into my program."
