Sabre to offer GDS limo bookings
For the first time travel agents will be able to book chauffeured limousines directly in a GDS, following a new partnership with Sabre and leading ground transportation services firm Carey International.
Sabre Red App offers integrated commissionable bookings of Carey and Embarque branded ground transportation in over 1,000 cities worldwide enabling agents to fully manage the reservation and track the transaction.
The Carey Red App known as CESDirect gives updates in real-time so when a client makes a change the agent’s workflow is amended accordingly.
CESDirect is still in beta testing and will become available in the Sabre Red App Centre later this year.
"The launch of CESDirect in Sabre is a major milestone for not just the Carey and Embarque brands, but the entire chauffeured transportation industry," said Carey CEO Gary Kessler.
"For the first time travel agents can seamlessly book chauffeured ground transportation services directly through Sabre with real-time access to information that was never available before," added Kessler.
Carey International offers management services, transfers, city to city transportation, and chauffeured tour services from locations across the US and worldwide.
