SalamAir expands Saudi flight network
Oman low-cost carrier SalamAir just announced its newest destination, Abha in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The airline is launching direct flights starting 16 December 2025 with sales now open.
Abha is known for its cool mountain climate, lush landscapes, and cultural heritage.
It is one of Saudi Arabia’s most popular highland destinations.
The launch of the Muscat–Abha service follows SalamAir’s strong performance in 2025 and the recent arrival of its 15th aircraft, te Airbus A321neo “Barr Al-Hikman”.
Abha will become SalamAir’s fifth destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, joining Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, and Dammam.
Steven Allen, Chief Commercial Officer of SalamAir, said: “We are delighted to add Abha. This new route strengthens links between Oman and the wider GCC, while opening new opportunities for tourism and trade”.
In addition to the four direct connections between Muscat and Abha, the new route will connect passengers to SalamAir’s expanding network across the Indian subcontinent, GCC, and Salalah, offering convenient one-stop options for travelers between these regions.
