Friday, 24 Jul, 2007 0

The upscale Sandpearl Resort opening this month is the first new waterfront resort on Clearwater Beach in Florida in more than 25 years.

It’s also the first in Florida to get the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) award.

The 253-room property is located along 700 acres of the Gulf Coast.

The resort has 25,000 square feet of meeting space that can take groups of 10 to 450 people.

The resort is located 25 minutes from the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport and about 40 minutes from Tampa International Airport.

Some rooms have Gulf views from expansive balconies.

Other amenities include flat-screen TVs with moves on demand and high-speed internet access.
