SAS adds Birmingham service
A Stockholm link from Birmingham has been added by SAS with three flights a week.
The new route complements the Scandinavian carrier’s double daily service from Birmingham to Copenhagen.
SAS is flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays to the Swedish capital, offering flexible one-way tickets to allow passengers to fly out in one class and return in another. For example, passengers travelling from Birmingham to Stockholm can travel out in Economy and return in the airline’s premium economy class, Economy Flex, for £334 including taxes.
UK and Ireland general manager Lars-Ove Filipson said: “We have seen an increasing demand from enterprises and individuals in the Midlands for a direct service to Stockholm and are pleased to be offering this new service to our customers.
“Anyone who travels on business knows when a meeting is due to start, but often does not know when a meeting will end and needs the flexibility to be able to change travel arrangements. SAS’ new pricing structure gives travellers the opportunity to combine low Economy fares one way with the flexibility of Economy Flex or Business Class on the return journey.”
