Scottish travel industry plans ‘colourful and noisy’ protest outside Holyrood
Members of the agency, operator and airline sectors in Scotland will protest on 5 November outside the Scottish Parliament.
At least 150 agents will join aviation and tour operator representatives in a ‘colourful, noisy, peaceful show of strength to protest outside the Scottish Parliament about the lack of assistance for the travel industry in Scotland, which supports 26,000 jobs’.
The Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association said: "The protestors will be demanding a comprehensive and robust airport testing system to be put in place urgently and an end to quarantine for travellers as well as targeted support for the beleaguered travel sector.
"They will be highlighting the fact that Scotland needs its connectivity for the whole economy and not just for holidaymakers."
