SeaWorld attendance and revenue plunges
SeaWorld Entertainment parks continued to suffer more pandemic pain with attendance down 81% in the third quarter.
SeaWorld saw revenue sink by nearly $368 million.
It posted a Q3 net loss of $79 million but says most parks are seeing a slow rebound in attendance numbers.
On some busier days parks managed to reach their adjusted capacity limits, said interim CEO, Mark Swanson.
Its Covid-modified Halloween events also helped to bring in visitors.
However, it said only 1.6 million people visited SeaWorld parks during the quarter, with revenue down to $106.1 million.
During the quarter it partially reopened SeaWorld in San Diego although park rides remain closed.
New rides, SeaWorld Orlando’s Ice Breaker and Busch Gardens’ Iron Gwazi coaster, are on track to debut in the spring of 2021.
