SeaWorld rejigs executive team with two new appointments
Amusement park operator SeaWorld has appointed two new faces in a management shake-up.
Peter J. Crage takes over next month as chief financial officer, replacing James M. Heaney who had been CFO since 2012.
Crage most recently served as finance chief at Extended Stay America Inc and also previously worked at amusement park operator Cedar Fair LP in the same capacity.
Anthony Esparza has been appointed as SeaWorld’s chief creative officer.
Current chief creative officer Scott Helmstedter will stay on with the company as a consultant, SeaWorld said.
Esparza, 54, was senior vice president for guest experiences, design and development at theme park operator Herschend Enterprises.
"Peter and Anthony are strong and important additions to our leadership team as we continue to drive improvement in the Company’s performance, competitive position and shareholder value," said SeaWorld CEO Joel Manby.
"Each of these seasoned executives brings a proven track record of success and broad experience."
