Second top exec to leave Virgin Holidays
Virgin Holidays marketing director Andrew Shelton has announced he is leaving the tour operator only days after the managing director resigned.
Shelton, who joined Virgin Holidays from British Airways in 2006, will leave the business later this year to pursue ‘new opportunities’ in the travel sector and further afield.
This follows managing director Amanda Wills announcing her departure last week after 13 years.
In a statement, Wills said she was leaving to pursue other interests and described her time at Virgin Holidays as "among the happiest of my life".
Wills plans to leave on September 1.
Prior to joining Virgin Holidays, she worked for Airtours where she was the first woman appointed to the board.
