Sedona Bike Bash Bicycle Festival

Friday, 07 Mar, 2008 0

The first annual Sedona Bike Bash is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sedona Heritage Museum.

The day-long event will provide a variety of events and activities that will appeal to a range of attendees from mountain bike riders to families with small children. Bicyclists can take part in informal rides at a pace and a distance they choose on some of the beautifully scenic trails in Sedona’s neighboring national forest.

Festival organizers Ray Anderson and Jim Monahan say they look forward to further developing the Sedona Bike Bash into a multi-day event over the next several years.  “This year we are concentrating on mountain biking and putting on a family-friendly festival.” said Anderson.  “The completion of bike lanes on Hwy 179 and Hwy 89A over the next couple years will allow us to eventually accommodate more people over more days for more activities.”
