Set sail with the Red Sox

Celebrity Cruises next year will debut the Red Sox Fan Cruise, during which guests can vacation with former Boston Red Sox players and WEEI announcer Joe Castiglione.

The cruise will be on the Celebrity Silhouette, departing from Fort Lauderdale on January 12, 2014, on a seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary.

Onboard, guests will get a chance to mingle with the Red Sox players at a beach party on Celebrity’s private beach resort in Haiti, at cocktail parties, at a martini tasting in the Martini Bar, at karaoke nights, and on Celebrity’s Lawn Club, a half-acre of real grass on the top deck.

At Fenway Park, meanwhile, Celebrity will offer giveaways and a chance to win a vacation for two on the 2014 Red Sox Fan Cruise.

The first event will be on May 19. RSVP to celebrityredsoxcruise.eventbrite.com.

Boston is about a four-hour drive from Cape Liberty, NJ, where the newly renovated Celebrity Summit sets sail to Bermuda every week. For these itineraries, Celebrity offers roundtrip motorcoach transportation from Boston.
