Shark kills boy in Indian Ocean
A 13-year-old boy has been killed in a shark attack off the French Indian Ocean island of Reunion.
The teenager was surfing off limits on the west coast of the island when he was attacked on Sunday morning.
Local authorities said specialist boats had tried to locate the shark.
According to the BBC, there have been 16 shark attacks on the island since 2007, seven of them fatal.
Following a non-fatal attack in February, a ban was imposed on all water activities outside areas with lifeguards.
