Silversea’s ultra luxury Silver Whisper is in Australian waters again this festive season, offering four sailings that begin or end in Sydney, so indulge in a decadent holiday cruise aboard the stylish vessel and let Silversea take care of all the details.

Enjoy a 16 day cruise from Singapore to Sydney departing 4 December. Silver Whisper calls at the Karimunjawa Archipelago in Indonesia; Padang Bai in Bali; Darwin; Thursday Island; Cairns; the Whitsunday Islands; Brisbane, and arrives in Sydney on 20 December. All inclusive cruise-only fares start from US$8,706 per person, double occupancy, including taxes.

Or why not spend both Christmas and New Year at sea? Departing 20 December on a 15 day voyage from Sydney, Silver Whisper calls at Melbourne; Burnie and Hobart in Tasmania, and then cruises Milford Sound. The ship then visits the New Zealand ports of Stewart Island, Port Chalmer (Dunedin), Christchurch (Lyttelton), Wellington, Napier, Tauranga and Bay of Islands, arriving in Auckland on 4 January.

On 4 January Silver Whisper retraces its steps on a 14 day voyage from Auckland to Sydney, with cruise only fares starting from US$9,455, including taxes. And on 18 January the vessel departs Sydney for an 18 day sailing to Hong Kong.

This voyage calls at Newcastle; Honiara in the Solomon Islands; Madang and Wewak in Papua New Guinea; Jayapura in Indonesia; Cebu and Manila in the Philippines, arriving in Hong Kong on 5 February. Cruise only fares start from US$11,451, including taxes.

These holiday season voyages are enhanced by fascinating onboard lecturers including one of Australia best-known historians, Geoffrey Blainey; distinguished diplomat and ex-British Ambassador to Vietnam, Richard Tallboys, and Indian Ocean maritime historian Robert N Macomber.
