Silverjet recruits ex-BA exec as PR chief
Former British Airways commercial communications manager Anna Martin is joining Silverjet as head of communications.
She will replace Nicole Walsh, who has left to go on maternity leave, and will be assisted by PR manager Jane Sinclair, who joined Silverjet in June from Thomsonfly.
Reporting to the all business class carrier’s chief executive Lawrence Hunt, Martin will be responsible for further developing and implementing the global communications strategy in addition to the management of all promotions, events and sponsorship opportunities.
She will be responsible for the airline’s UK and US public relations agencies to support the airline’s planned growth.
Martin spent more than seven years at BA, where she also held roles in marketing, sales and airport management and previously spent three years with Goldman Sachs.
Hunt said: “Her experience from British Airways will be invaluable as we look to grow on the success of Silverjet’s first six months in service with a further four routes planned over the next three years.”
