Silversea unveils historic World Cruise
Silversea has announced that Silver Whisper will be the first ship to visit all seven continents, including Antarctica, on a world cruise.
The ultra-luxury cruise line has put its 2020 ‘pioneering’ 140-day, 62-port, 32-country World Cruise on sale today.
The cruise will leave Fort Lauderdale on January 6.
The World Cruise 2020 will include long stays and overnights in many of the world’s most fascinating capital cities and natural wonders.
A first in cruising history, it will pass through both the Northern and Southern Fjords.

In total, there will be 40 new destinations from the 2018 and 2019 Silversea World Cruise itineraries.
Barbara Muckermann, chief marketing officer, said:~"This itinerary not only demonstrates Silversea’s destination expertise and willingness to innovate, but also our care and attention to our guests’ preferences: we have sought feedback from our most loyal World Cruisers in order to create the only seven-continent World Cruise available."
Suites are available from~$62,000 per person, while the most expensive – the Owner’s Suites – will be $250,000.
