Silversea welcomes back marketing chief
Silversea Cruises has welcomed back a familiar face with the appointment of Barbara Muckermann as chief marketing officer.
Muckermann previously spent more than three years as Siversea’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing and sales, Europe.
She was recently CEO of Yonderbound, an online travel firm she founded four years ago.
Other positions in a 15-year marketing career include as senior communications advisor for Cruise Lines International Association.
"Barbara has extensive company knowledge coupled with leadership experience and expertise in developing strategic marketing initiatives to increase global sales. I’m thrilled that we were able to bring her back to Silversea," said chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio.
Muckermann said: "I’m honored to be working once again with so many talented professionals in an environment that still feels like an extended family."
