Singapore Airlines app adds Android Pay and Apple Pay
Singapore Airlines flyers can now speed up the booking of tickets and ancillaries via mobile with Android Pay and Apple Pay.
The addition of Android Pay and Apple Pay as payment options through the SingaporeAir app allows for speedy payments for air tickets and add-ons such as preferred seat selection and travel insurance when made at the time of booking.
"Having cutting edge mobile payment platforms such as Android Pay and Apple Pay provides our customers a seamless and more efficient payment option whenever they make a purchase on our mobile app," said Singapore Airlines’ SVP of sales and marketing, Campbell Wilson.
For Android Pay users, payment card details are already stored in their Android Pay accounts allowing transactions in just a few taps.
Apple Pay payments are equally as speedy although customer details are encrypted and securely stored differently via a ‘secure element.’
