Singapore Airlines extends Formula 1 GP sponsorship deal
Singapore Airlines has renewed a deal as title sponsor of the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix.
SIA first agreed a sponsorship deal in 2014 for an initial four years and extended for a further two years through the 2019 race which took place at the weekend.
It will continue for another two years until 2021.
"We are pleased to be continuing as title sponsor, and helping to further enhance both sports and tourism," said Singapore Air CEO Goh Choon Phong.
The race, which is held at the Marina Bay circuit, is the only night time street race in the F1 calendar, and currently the only race in Southeast Asia after Malaysia pulled out as host in 2017.
The race took place as normal without incident on Sunday despite fears of health issues and poor visibility due to haze cloaking Singapore and Malaysia from Indonesian forest fires.
