Singapore Airlines steps up campaign
A report in the Sydney Morning Herald says that Singapore Airlines has stepped up its campaign ahead of the launch of the world’s largest passenger plane later this year.
The Airbus A380, which was in Sydney this week will fly from Singapore to Sydney later this year for the first time and is capable of carrying more than 600 people.
On Thursday, Singapore launched a website providing updated information on the plane, which has been plagued with manufacturing problems.
“The delivery of the first A380 to Singapore Airlines and its subsequent first flight will be one of the most significant events in the history of commercial aviation,” Singapore’s executive vice-president Huang Cheng Eng said.
