Singapore Airlines strengthens Air India cooperation
Singapore Airlines is deepening its links with partner Air India after inking a new commercial cooperation framework agreement.
This strengthens the existing partnership between the two airlines.
SIA’s partnership dates back to its partnership with India’s Tata Group before it purchased Air India.
The new agreement will see enhanced connectivity for passengers between Singapore and India and ‘greater choices and benefits.’
The airlines signed a codeshare partnership in 2024 which offers onward connections across 20 countries on their respective networks.
“It will support the growth of air travel and tourism in both countries, and deepen longstanding business and people-to-people ties,” said Goh Choon Phong, CEO of SIA.
Part of the deal will see a ‘closer coordination of flight schedules’ as well as more loyalty member benefits.
SIA holds a significant stake in Air India.
