Singapore Airlines takes F1 title tilt
Singapore Airlines has signed an agreement to be the title sponsor of the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
This year’s event will take place from September 19-21 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Said Singapore Airlines CEO, Goh Choon Phong: "Singapore Airlines has always supported the development of both sports and tourism.
"Through our involvement with the world’s first F1 night race we will be able to enhance the experience both for the benefit of Singaporeans and visitors alike."
The contract is for two years and comes with an option to extend the sponsorship.
SIA takes over from SingTel as the title sponsor of the race.
The race will now be called the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, a title that should keep the circuit’s sign writers busy.
