Singapore Airlines upgrading Cape Town service to daily
Singapore Airlines will upgrade its Cape Town service to daily starting next spring.
Cape Town will be served with a daily flight via Johannesburg starting from 26 March 2018.
Citing demand for the increase in Cape Town capacity, the route will be operated with three-class Airbus A350-900 aircraft seating 253 passengers.
It effectively combines both its Cape Town and Johannesburg services, the latter which already operates daily.
"The additional flights will complement Singapore Airlines’ current daily service to Johannesburg and operate as SQ478 (Singapore-Johannesburg-Cape Town) and SQ479 (Cape Town-Johannesburg-Singapore)‚" the carrier said in a release.
The service is still awaiting regulatory approval and ticket sales will go live soon.
