SINGAPORE – IATA and the Singapore Airshow are behind the inaugural Singapore Airshow Aviation Leadership Summit next week.

The summit will provide a Davos-style interactive forum for industry to exchange views on these and other critical issues with key government ministers and policy-makers responsible for aviation from Asia and beyond.

More than 80 airline CEOs, Ministers for Transport and Director Generals of Civil Aviation have registered to attend the summit.

A keynote dinner address by Singapore’s Minister Mentor, Lee Kuan Yew, will open the summit next Sunday.

Discussions will continue on Monday in a closed, invitation-only format.

Also speaking at the summit is Bertrand Piccard, psychiatrist-adventurer and president of Solar Impulse.

Solar Impulse is building the solar airplane that will attempt to fly around the world non-stop with no fuel and zero emissions.
