Leading hotelier Sir Rocco Forte is to speak at next month’s AITO Specialist Travel Agents’ domestic conference.
He will draw upon his wealth of experience in catering for the needs of discerning independent travellers to draw parallels with the way that independent agents can ensure that they stand out from the crowd.
Under the theme “Focus on the Future,” the conference takes place in Warwick on January 17.
This will be the second time that the founder of the 13-strong Rocco Forte Collection has spoken at an AITO Specialist Travel Agents’ conference. He also attended the 2002 overseas event in San Marino.
Other conference highlights include an agents’ marketplace which regularly attracts more than 60 AITO tour operators showcasing their new initiatives, destinations, products and brochures.
This is an opportunity for informal networking and relationship-building between agents and operators for the year ahead – a forum for lively discussion and debate and an opportunity for agents to hone their operator knowledge and to sign up for educational trips in 2010.
AITO Specialist Travel Agents’ chairman Barry Moxley (Traveltime) said:“We are naturally delighted to have secured a speaker of the calibre of Sir Rocco Forte to speak at our domestic conference.
“I have no doubt that his address to the delegates will inspire them hugely and will spur them on to greater heights in what is a very challenging marketplace.
“The Rocco Forte Collection goes from strength to strength and we are looking forward to gleaning some insider tips on how to remain at the very top of the industry, as Sir Rocco has for many years.”
