Six dead as train crashes in southern England
Six people have been killed and dozens injured when a train crashed at Potters Bar in southern England this afternoon.
The train was the 1245 from Kings Cross, London to Kings Lynn in Norfolk. Railtrack has confirmed that three of the train’s four carriages derailed, the last of which ploughed across two platforms in the accident at just before 1300.
According to a BBC report, 14 more casualties have life-threatening or serious injuries and there are 70 walking wounded.
