Six Flags Entertainment appoints new Chairman
Six Flags Entertainment Corp has announced Selim Bassoul as new non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
He succeeds Richard Roedel who previously announced he would not seek re-election as Chairman in 2021.
The two will now work through a transition period ahead of the Annual Shareholders Meeting in May 2021.
Bassoul has been a member of the Board of Six Flags since February 2020 and previously served as Chairman and CEO of the Middleby Corporation for nearly two decades until retirement in 2019.
"I want to congratulate and welcome Selim as our new Chairman. He has provided sound advice since joining the board, and I am excited to partner with him given his wealth of knowledge and experience, and previous track record as a public company CEO and chairman," said Mike Spanos, Six Flags President and CEO.
