Ski resort manager allegedly assaulted by man in Chewbacca costume
A ski resort worker was allegedly knocked out by a snowboarder dressed as Star Wars’ hero Chewbacca when he tried to prevent him from riding in the Wookiee costume.
Police said the 51-year-old hit the manager of the Thredbo Alpine Village in New South Wales, Australia several times with a snowboard.
The 55-year-old victim, Jordan Rodgers, suffered facial and dental injuries, according to local media.
His snowboarding assailant, Keith Melvyn Wass, was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, causing reckless grievous bodily harm and using an offensive weapon with the intention to commit an indictable offence.
He has been granted bail and will appear in court on September 6.
