Ski show attracts first-time exhibitors
WTM Connect Ski, a European show for the ski tourism industry, has attracted around 50 exhibitors this year.
El Lodge in Spain’s Sierra Nevada will be one of several first-time exhibitors after reopening in December following a fire in January 2014.
Director Julian Cabanillas said: "We re-opened our doors in December 2015 and are excited to promote our fantastic new product to the world."
There are also several first time-exhibitors from Italy, including the Hotel Kolfuschuger.
Exhibition manager Peter Grimster said: "We continue to enhance WTM Connect Ski every year and the increase in first time exhibitors from many of the key emerging markets for this year’s event, along with the more established ones, again highlights the health of the ski tourism market, with a strong outlook for 2016."
This year’s two-day event will take place at the Aqua Dome Hotel and Spa in the Austrian resort of Ötztal from March 14. Nineteen UK buyers are expexted to attend, including representatives from Crystal Ski, Skiworld, Peak Retreats, Ski Independence and Abercrombie & Kent.
