SkyScanner hits record numbers

London remained the most popular search in August as budget search engine SkyScanner.net reported a record 750,000 visitors to its site.

The capital registered a little over 11% of searches ahead of four Spanish destinations. Malaga came in second with 7.5% of searches followed by Alicante with 6.4%, Palma 6% and Barcelona 3.9%.

SkyScanner searches 62 budget airlines across Europe and attracts an average of 500,000 unique visitors reach month.
