SkyScanner set for worldwide online service

Friday, 09 Jan, 2006 0

Online travel firm SkyScanner has issued a preview of the latest version of its flight search engine.

The faster, simpler and more accurate version of the flight search engine is available via a link from SkyScanner’s homepage.

With easier navigation, the company says it allows users to search across multiple airlines, comparing flight prices for all budget carriers that serve the UK and Europe, utilising advances in search technology to provide more choice, in a simple, search engine format.

SkyScanner will display flight prices even if the only thing the user knows for certain is their departure country.

Director and co-founder Barry Smith said the new search engine will replace the existing site within weeks.

“We put the link up to the Beta site in time for 1st Jan and the feedback response we have had so far has been incredible,” he claimed.

“This is just the start for SkyScanner in 2006 and the new version of the site will take us another major step closer to launching our fully comprehensive worldwide service later in the year. This year will see SkyScanner move from strength to strength, continuing to push the boundaries of the online travel search.”
