SkyTeam outlines plans for Heathrow Terminal 4
SkyTeam and BAA have outlined their plans to make London Heathrow Terminal 4 a dedicated terminal for the 10 SkyTeam alliance members.
A £100 million expansion and renovation of T4 will be completed in spring 2009.
SkyTeam’s move to T4 will take effect over the next 12 months.
At the end of March 2008, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines will join KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Kenya Airways, who already operate out of T4.
In the spring of 2009, the remaining SkyTeam carriers operating out of Heathrow – Aeroflot, Air France, Alitalia, CSA and Korean Air – will relocate.
The terminal will give SkyTeam customers a common check-in area, common-use self service kiosks, additional check-in desks and additional bag drop-off locations.
