Skywalk Offers Clear Headed Views of NYE Fireworks

Saturday, 13 Dec, 2005 0

Sydney’s highest attraction, Skywalk at Sydney Tower, is offering clear-headed revellers the opportunity to enjoy a clear view of the city’s spectacular fireworks display this New Year’s Eve.

The midnight Skywalk event marks the first time Sydney Tower’s rooftop has been open to the public on New Year’s Eve and follows the launch of the high-altitude adventure, Skywalk, two months ago.

Positioned outside on top of the Tower, 260 metres above the streets and with a 360 degree outlook over Sydney, Skywalkers will have unparalleled views of the stunning multiple fireworks around Sydney.

While Skywalkers must have an alcohol level below 0.05%, those who take part in this special event will be able to retire to Sydney Tower’s indoor Observation Deck for some sparkling wine after the fireworks.

The New Year’s Eve Skywalk for the midnight fireworks starts at 10pm, with tickets priced from $365 for adults and from $315 for children aged 10-15 years.

The ticket price includes a free photo and souvenir Certificate of Achievement, a glass of sparkling wine or soft drink on the Observation Deck after the walk, and free entry to the OzTrek virtual adventure ride located on the Tower’s Podium level.

Skywalk is also offering a special walk for the city’s traditional 9pm fireworks, with tickets priced at $295 for adults and $245 for children including a free photo, entry to OzTrek and sparkling wine or soft drink.

Numbers for Skywalk’s unique New Year’s Eve experience are strictly limited – but there is another option for those who miss out.

Sydney Tower is also having two special firework viewings on its popular 250-metre high Observation Deck. Tickets for the 9pm fireworks display or the midnight show are priced at $75 for adults and $45 for children aged under 16, and include entry to the motion theatre ride OzTrek and a glass of sparkling wine or soft drink.

Bookings are available via 02 9333 9200 or online at www.skywalk.com.au
