Small falls for industry stocks

Travel and tourism shares experienced small falls yesterday as London’s main equity indices dropped back.

 

The FTSE 100 index fell 33.7 points to close at 4468.5, while the FTSE 250 did slightly better but still closed 5.4 points down at 6163.

 

Despite the downward trend there were few significant falls; First Choice dropped 1.25p to 119.75p, EasyJet fell 2p to 157p and British Airways ended the day at 260.75p, down 2.25p.
