Small Luxury Hotels of the World parties to launch ‘New Look’ 2007 Directory

Lynne Ireland, charismatic and respected VP Regional Development for Small Luxury Hotels of the World hosted a very stylish party in Sydney this week to launch the company’s 2007 directory saying, “SLH guests are quite discerning and experienced travellers looking for far more than just a place to sleep for a night and our 2007 new look directory is designed to illustrate the variety of experiences on offer around the globe.”

With great success and many publishing accolades over 14 years for what has become the brand’s signature marketing tool, Small Luxury Hotels of the World has re-designed its 2007 hotel directory with an entirely “new look” in keeping with its new Experiential Marketing strategy, containing 485 pages of vivid images and copy that not only show and describe a particular property but allow the guest to envision the experiences that await their arrival.

Lynne told The Mole that the 2007 Directory is also visually cleaner with a sleek and vivid colour palette, also featuring regional maps that allow would-be guests to clearly find a property’s location, in addition to insightful suggested travel itineraries for that particular destination.

Each hotel’s page features multiple experiential images, along with a detailed and inspirational property description, highlighted activities on property guests are likely to enjoy, as well as a range of room rates.

To clearly distinguish the seventy new hotels added to the brand’s portfolio for 2007, a “New for 2007” page tab appears at the bottom left of all new properties.

Lynne also said that as guests read through the new directory the images and descriptions will take them on a journey long before they step on an airplane or in a car, whether it be on the backs of elephants at Anantara Resort Golden Triangle in Thailand, walking through Maori food trails at Treetops Lodge in New Zealand, lazing in the pool made famous in the film “When a Man Loves a Woman” at La Casa Que Canta in Mexico, relaxing under the expert hands of a spa therapist 10,000 feet above sea level at Banyan Tree Ringha in China, spotting the big five on safari at Ngala Private Game Reserve, fine dining from a whitewashed suite overlooking the Aegean Sea at Katikies in Santorini, or simply just trawling the spice markets of Marrakech nearby La Sultana in Morocco, options abound – take me there now!!!

400,000 copies of the directory will be distributed worldwide including in every one of the nearly 20,000 hotel rooms part of SLH in 65 countries across the globe and a customized version for American Express Platinum and Centurion programs has also been produced detailing the benefits associated with using the premier cards to make bookings.

50,000 e-directories have also been produced on credit card sized CD-Roms for ease of use while on the road and with SLH continuously expanding its portfolio, the complete, up to date variety of properties is always available with full detail at www.slh.com

The 2007 Directory is available from Small Luxury Hotels Of The World on 1800 251 958 or by visiting www.slh.com
