Sofitel Fiji Resort welcomes new Sales and Marketing Director
The Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa has welcomed 2007 with the appointment of new Director of Sales and Marketing, Heather Gordon, [pictured last week in Fiji] based at the five-star resort on Denarau Island in Fiji.
Heather’s impressive career in sales and marketing for hotels and resorts spans almost 20 years.
Her most recent previous role was Director of Sales and Marketing for luxury New Zealand boutique hotel, The George, located in Christchurch and a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group. At the George, Heather’s primary focus was the USA, UK and Australian leisure market.
Prior to this, Heather worked in key positions for several major hotel and tourism brands in New Zealand including the Queenstown Convention Bureau, the Carlton Hotel Auckland, Huka Lodge and the Regent Auckland.
Heather was also based in Sydney for a time while Director of International Sales for the Millennium and Copthorne family of hotels.
Heather told The Mole, “I often have to pinch myself to make sure that it is real that I am working in such a fabulous location selling such a fabulous product”.
