South African Tourism appoints trade training specialist
South African Tourism has appointed Steven Balderston as trade training specialist for the UK and Ireland.
Originally from Australia, he has worked for Tourism Northern Territory in the UK for the last two and a half years, training agents, running roadshows, and trade marketing campaigns.
For South Africa he will develop a training strategy, building on the use of South African Tourism’s trade Facebook platform, manage an agent programme at African trade show Indaba, host familiarisation trips in South Africa, and implement incentives.
South African Tourism said the appointment demonstrates its commitment to the UK and Ireland travel trade.
