South Korea rolls out online service for tourist complaints

Tuesday, 11 Nov, 2016 0
South Korea has rolled out an online platform for foreign tourists to file complaints during their travels in the country.

The Korea Tourism Organization has launched the ‘Tourist Complaint Center’ which allows visitors to record tourist scams, illegal activity or any poor service they experience.

It offers the service in English, Chinese and Japanese, with additional language support for Russian, Malay, Arabic, Indonesian and Thai by next year.

Up until now, tourists could only report problems by phone or email.

The platform is available at touristcomplaint.or.kr.

"Increasing the number of foreign tourists who make a return visit to Korea is as important as increasing the number of foreign tourists who make their first visits to Korea," a Korea Tourist Organization spokesperson said.

"We will put more effort into promoting the website and improving the quality of our service."
