Southwest Airlines sued over ‘lewd’ porn watching pilot
A Southwest Airlines pilot has sued the airline over a ‘lewd’ pilot colleague who exposed himself and watched porn during a flight.
Christine Janning said Southwest retaliated after she reported the incident to the FBI.
Southwest refused to act as Michael Haak had left the company, so she went to the FBI.
Janning said Southwest grounded her and a manager allegedly demeaned her pilot abilities to other colleagues.
Haak pleaded guilty last year to committing a lewd or obscene act, and received probation.
He allegedly put the plane on autopilot, stripped off and committed a lewd act while watching porn in the cockpit.
During the sentencing, Haak described the incident as ‘a consensual prank’
Janning alleges that the SWAPA union ‘conspired’ with Southwest to avoid an investigation.
Janning is suing Southwest Airlines, the union and Haak.
The suit claims Southwest continued to employ Haak despite other alleged incidents of sexual misconduct.
