Special agent rates offered on Marco Polo

Wednesday, 25 Mar, 2008 0

Agents are being offered a special rate for staff, friends and family on three Marco Polo cruises from London Tilbury.

Three six-night sailings are available to agents for £300 including gratuities and port taxes.

The Springtime Fjordland departures are on April 19, April 25 and May 1.

Agency sales manager Michelle Daniels at Cruise & Maritime Services International, which represents Transocean Tours in the UK, said: “This is a great deal for agents and their friends or family to take a traditional style cruise to one of the world’s most spectacular and scenic areas. The travel agent does not have to travel to qualify for the rate.”

Marco Polo is due to arrive at the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury next month to run 14 summer cruises which are claimed to be “virtually sold out”.

Daniels said: “Our business through travel agents has doubled over the last year and growing.

“We have established a strong nucleus of good agents who understand the cruise market and our niche product. We have not played with the prices or the commission levels and do not support discounting.”
