SpiceJet launching Bangkok flights

Friday, 20 Nov, 2015 0
Indian carrier SpiceJet will begin direct flights between Chennai and Bangkok from next month.

It will operate the route six times per week, from 10 December 2015, marking its second international route from Chennai.

SpiceJet will fly Boeing 737 aircraft on the route to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport.

To kick-off the new service, SpiceJet is launching an introductory return fare from Rs. 9,999 return parting Chennai for a limited period.

"This is very exciting news for us especially since it will mean additional seats right when the peak season is in full momentum. We have seen increasing interest from the Chennai market and I expect that the added flight and promotional introductory fare will motivate more Chennaiites to travel to Thailand," said Soraya Homchuen, Mumbai director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

TAT expects more than one million visitors to Thailand by the end of 2015.
