UK Sport, the nation’s high performance sports agency, has agreed a four-year partnership with sport and leisure insurers Sportscover.

Sportscover provides a range of insurance products – including public liability, events insurance and property insurance – specifically designed for the sport and leisure industry.

The UK Sport’s annual World Class Performance Conference is underway in Manchester this week, where more than 300 performance directors, coaches and support staff from Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic sports are gathering to learn, debate and share best practice.

As part of their rights, Sportscover will also become the Presenting Partner of UK Sport’s Gold Event Series Workshops and Governance events through to 2017.

Paul Thomas, business development director at Sportscover, said: "This represents a further step forward in our development and one towards our ultimate goal of becoming synonymous with sport in this country."

Liz Nicholl, CEO of UK Sport, said Sportscover would be a key partner to UK Sport "on the road to Rio".
