St Lucia quadruples business through ‘expert agent’ directory

Wednesday, 22 Oct, 2012 0

St Lucia’s initiative to drive business through expert agents has seen booking rates increase by more than four times.

The Saint Lucia Tourist Board said August 2012 saw more than £720,000 worth of bookings logged by experts on www.SaintLuciaExpert.com.

The specialist online directory puts potential visitors to the island in touch with Saint Lucia Specialist agents that can advise on holidays.

To become a Saint Lucia Specialist, travel agents must complete the Saint Lucia Expert training, attend a FAM trip to Saint Lucia and log their bookings to the island on the dedicated site.

Jean-Marc Flambert, director of marketing UK and Europe Saint Lucia Tourist Board, "The Saint Lucia Tourist Board is committed to the ongoing support and training of travel agents – it’s their passion for travel and expert knowledge that produces these record breaking booking figures".
