St Regis adds to China footprint with Qingdao signing
Starwood Hotels & Resorts will debut its upscale brand St Regis in the Chinese city of Qingdao in 2020.
An agreement has been signed with Qingdao Conson Haitian Centre Co., Ltd for a 242 room luxury hotel in a mixed use development spanning 70 floors.
Each will have a minimum room size of 600 square feet, including 43 suites.
Five restaurants and bars are planned along with meeting space, a heated indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and luxury spa.
"The St Regis Qingdao will set a new standard in luxury hospitality in the Shandong province with personalised and refined services tailored to our Chinese and global guests," said Xia Nong, senior vice president, head of acquisition & development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Greater China.
It will become St Regis’ 16th location in Greater China following openings in Beijing, Chengdu, Lhasa, Sanya Yalong Bay, Shenzhen, and Tianjin, and a further nine under development.
The upscale St. Regis Qingdao will also feature the brand’s signature St Regis Butler Service.
